There is a unique tradition at the Hotel Sassongher, something that dates back a long time, when snow tourism was an extraordinary experience just for the few. In Corvara in the Pescosta hamlet, in 1973 Richard and his wife Rita took over the management of the simple guest-house from their parents Sandro and Clara Pescosta which today has been transformed into a five-star hotel of the highest level, emblem of the best winter tourism, awarded Italy’s Best Ski Hotel 2022 by World Ski Awards and #1 Best Ski Europe Hotels 2022.

Led today by Francesco Morini, the most loved five-star in the Dolomites Hotel Sassongher maintains the same hospitality’s recipe. 90 years of passion, of love for our territory and joy of welcoming guests from all over the world sharing the beauty of one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Dolomites.

A family’s story.

A family history that follows the respect for traditions, elegance and style, in its environments, in the rooms and in the amazing Stube of which the oldest, the Stube del Cacciatore, dates back to 1520. A family extended to all of the staff who work everyday to make our guests stay enjoyable and to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks.

Together we believe in the hosting value, that pleasant and joyful conviviality that unites different cultures and languages, recognizing each other as one big family. A unique hospitality formula recognized and appreciated by guests from all over the world.

Simply amazing
The hotel is located under Mount Sassongher in Corvara, not far from the town. The structure is splendid, well cared for and elegant in a typical traditional style. The rooms are very well maintained and spacious. The Spa is fantastic, large and complete. The terrace with the outdoor whirlpool overlooking the mountains is unforgettable. Particular mention deserves the staff, extraordinarily welcoming and courteous. You really feel like family. Followed in everything with discretion and availability. A unique experience. Definitely to come back!

L’hotel è collocato sotto il monte Sassongher a Corvara, poco distante dal paese. La struttura è splendida, ben curata ed elegante in tipico stile tradizionale. Le stanze sono molto ben curate e spaziose. La Spa è fantastica, ampia e completa. La terrazza con l’idromassaggio esterno vista montagna è indimenticabile. Menzione particolare merita il personale, straordinariamente accogliente e cortese. Ti senti davvero in famiglia. Seguito in tutto con discrezione e disponibilità. Una esperienza unica.
