The Sassongher hotel has come a long way since in 1939 Sandro and Clara Pescosta, parents of Richard Pescosta started the hotel adventure by creating a small alpine guesthouse in Corvara, in the Pescosta hamlet. Today appreciated and renowned five-star hotel in the heart of the Dolomites, represented by the best international chains, the Hotel Sassongher has maintained its genuine and authentic soul. Something inimitable that only love for one’s work, passion and experience can create. Lively mountain spirit that you can feel from the very first moment and that makes the stay an unforgettable experience. The best overall hotel experience ever! The staff and attention to detail at all levels was second to none. From the concierge to the impeccable waiting staff and entertaining bar staff!! There were 30 of us travelling together and we were looked after beyond expectation! Even when we threw an impromptu 70th birthday party for one of our group. Our room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom (loved the deep tub!) and balcony to enjoy the views. Some may not appreciate the historic Ladin decor, but for us, it highlighted the history and traditional culture of the area. Many many thanks for an exceptional stay.

The reception at the Hotel Sassongher is the soul around which the life of the guests’ stay revolves. The contact often takes place long before on the phone to check availability and to choose the right room. At the Sassongher each room has its own style and character, from the more traditional to the more modern rooms, from the largest suites that even reach 85 m2 like the Cinderella Suite, to the more intimate and cosy standard rooms. Francesca and the reception team love to give detailed information on each solution, to the point of perceiving the satisfaction in the customer’s choice. Thus was born the dream of a five-star holiday in the Dolomites and we have the task of satisfying it with excellence.

Business card of the hotel, the reception acts as a glue between all departments to be a safe and reliable point of reference for its guests. Detailed updates on the rooms, the availability of hotel services, the daily menus, the wine list, the wellness services: all information must reach the reception colleagues to be available on request at all times. To this we add the small/big problems of all kinds to be solved and the special requests of all kinds that come from the guests. Together with colleagues from the Les Clefs d’Or Concierge service, we love to find ways to satisfy every desire, even the most bizarre, to continue to keep faith with the dream called vacation.
Luxurious
Beautiful, romantic, large rooms, real luxury! Friendly staff, great bar,& gourmet food. A gorgeous large hot tub with mountains views, outstanding wellness center. If all day sling wasn’t a workout enough, you can work out sone more at the well gym. I would love to come back here.
