communication is the common thread that binds us close during this long duration apart due to the covid restrictions. I hope you enjoy these moments of contact that allows us to share with you what is really happening.

Uncertainty and waiting

We are all united by uncertainty and waiting time linked to the regulations against the spread of the coronavirus that impacted daily life all over the world. For us in Corvara the winter season means snow, skiing, winter sports, nice moments in the mountain huts, tastings events and much more. Our Italian and international guests love Alta Badia for the incredible offer of ski facilities and the endless slopes.

This winter season is completely different.

In Italy we have awaited with hope and anticipation of the opening of the ski lifts that closed due to strict standards. Unfortunately the ski lifts of Alta Badia are still closed. The possible day of February15th has been postponed yet again to March 1st 2021 – due to the South Tyrol new regulations. General italian guidelines see the opening of the lifts only in the regions with low covid19 index, which are updated weekly. Still in place are also the mobility restrictions and flight limitations experienced in many international countries.

Hotel Sassongher in Corvara opens June, 18th 2021.

Hotel Sassongher Opening is planned for June 18th, 2021, a difficult but necessary choice. The winter season runs fast and we can’t wait any longer for the opening. The opening of a luxury hotel with 65 rooms is a complex matter and requires time and profound organization.

Those who know Hotel Sassongher know how much we love taking care of every detail and this cannot be improvised. Above all, it is difficult to manage uncertainty.

Looking forward, summer 2021. In Corvara we are working on new events for next summer. Pleasure, relax and safety are top priorities for us.

Summer means open air, amazing places to discover and a great dose of freedom. The Dolomites offer their amazing untainted beauty that await only to be discovered. We still remember the 2020 summer season with great joy and after such a long time of closure due to the covid19 pandemic, we can’t wait to do even better.

After all, offering the best total wellbeing time is our mission!
