Sass de Ciampac. Captivating place.
Well, let’s discover together one of the most beautiful itineraries of the Dolomites, Sass de Ciampac, leaving from Corvara. This “panoramic balcony” is situated between the Sella group and the Puez-Odle natural park, well known for its geological history of the Dolomites. It is an alluring excursion that winds around the mountain in a loop path, at around 2.300 meters of altitude. It is a magical place, full of history that reminds us to the legend of Salvans, well known by the Ladin tradition.
It is a well-marked path where we can admire many wonders of nature and enchanting flowers, like the Leontopodium alpinum, better known as edelweiss. This is the emblem flower of our Alps, which also gives its name to the Valle Stella Alpina – Edelweiss Valley, situated in the northern area of Sass de Ciampac.
